What counts as a page?

One page
Two pages

Unused pages roll over.

Any unused pages are rolled over, up to the number of pages per month in your plan.

Have a 50 page plan?
You can roll over up to 50 pages.

Each month, your regular plan pages and rollover pages are used before you are charged for any additional pages. Rollover pages are available until they are used.

Additional pages are just a little more.

After you have printed your regular plan pages and all available rollover pages in one billing month, you can still print additional pages--and still save money compared to using standard ink cartridges.

Additional pages are available in sets depending on your plan, for only a £1.00. If you find yourself exceeding your limit regularly, it’s easy to change your plan online.

No annual fee — Change or cancel your plan online anytime without penalty.5

Cartridges plans

You'll replace cartridges less often too!

Ours have more ink than standard HP ink cartridges, so you'll replace them less often.

What do you need to enrol?

Connect your printer to your network with Internet access

If you are setting up your printer for the first time, follow the setup instructions that came with your printer. Your printer software will guide you through setting up your printer on your network.

Wireless connection

If you have already setup your printer, make sure it is connected to your wireless network. When your printer is connected the light next to the printer’s wireless icon will be on.

If your printer is not connected to your network, use the Wireless Setup Wizard on your printer. On most printers you can press the Wireless button to access your printers’ wireless network settings.

For more help with setting up or troubleshooting your HP printer connection to a wireless network, go to http://www.hp.com/global/uk/en/wireless.

Wired connection

If your printer has an Ethernet port, you can connect an Ethernet cable between your printer and your router to create a wired connection.

You may continue to print and scan over a USB connection to your printer. However, your printer will also need to be directly connected to the Internet.

Once your printer and computer are connected to the same network you can print and scan with or without the USB cable.

Your billing month starts when you insert an HP Instant Ink cartridge in your enroled printer.

Your printer tells us that you’re low on ink, so we will know when to send you more. You will always have ink when you need it.2 HP Instant Ink cartridges can only be used in the printer that you have enroled. Used HP Instant Ink cartridges must be returned in the pre-paid recycling envelopes provided by HP. Returned cartridges will be recycled by HP Planet Partners.

To enrol in HP Instant Ink you need:
  • Your printer must be connected to the Internet so we know when to send you ink. While enroled with Instant Ink, your printer will also automatically receive and apply any necessary updates.
  • A valid email address
  • A valid credit card or debit card – VISA, AMEX or Mastercard (for billing purposes)
To choose your country location, click on the flag icon that can be found at the top of the screen. Once you click on the flag, there will be a drop down box with the country location options. Select your country and then you will be able to proceed with enrolment.

If you need assistance, please call Support at 0207 660 0596.

We’ll send your HP Instant Ink cartridges now, so you will have them when you need replacement cartridges. Your billing won’t start until 30 days after you insert one of your HP Instant Ink cartridges into your enroled printer.

You can start with any plan and change your plan at any time at hpinstantink.co.uk. Sign in at hpinstantink.co.uk to see how many pages you have printed, how many rollover pages are available, and/or how many additional pages you have purchased. On this page, you can also update your account information or change your plan. You can choose to make a plan upgrade effective immediately and retroactively apply to the current billing cycle, or have the upgrade take effect the first day of the next billing cycle. Plan downgrade changes and cancellation are effective the first day of the next billing cycle. For more details, see the HP Instant Ink Terms of Service.

Your unused pages are rolled over for you, up to your monthly plan amount. You can also print more than your monthly page amount when you need to and still save. Additional sets of pages are automatically available and let you print beyond your monthly limit for pennies per page. You can also easily change your monthly plan whenever you want.

No, you will only get cartridges when your printer tells us you need them. HP Instant Ink cartridges are extra high capacity, and they contain months’ worth of ink depending on your usage. You can print as much as you want as long as you are enroled in HP Instant Ink.

HP will send you replacement cartridges before you run out of ink. When your enroled printer is connected to the Internet, your printer automatically orders ink for you because it knows when you are low on ink.1 Cartridges are sent using standard delivery, so they might take up to 10 business days to arrive, however, your printer will take delivery time and regular ink usage into account when it orders your ink. Customers with high volume print needs may call Support.

1Your printer orders ink when your cartridges have enough ink to print twice the number of average pages included in your monthly plan. Learn more about how HP measures page yields.

Yes, you can print full colour photos, colour documents, or high-quality black and white pages. Each page costs the same. Your monthly fee is based on the number of pages you print, not on the amount of ink you use. You never have to worry again about printing in black and white to avoid using your colour ink cartridges.

Your billing cycle starts when you insert your first HP Instant Ink cartridge in your enroled printer. You will be billed at the end of your billing cycle for your monthly fee and any additional pages printed. If you purchased an enrolment card, your credit card will not be charged for your first monthly fee, since you already paid for your first month by purchasing an enrolment card. Your enrolment card fee does not include any additional pages that you print beyond the page amount in your plan.

If you enrol now, we will send you a welcome kit with your HP Instant Ink cartridges in about 10 business days, so you’ll have HP Instant Ink cartridges on hand when you need them. Your billing cycle does not start when you enrol, it starts when you insert your first HP Instant Ink cartridge.

Your credit card is charged approximately 30 days after the day you insert your first HP Instant Ink cartridge in your enroled printer. You are billed at the end of your billing cycle for the previous 30 days of service. You will be billed for your monthly plan fee, plus any additional pages you printed during your billing cycle.

Since your monthly plan fee is the same every month, we will not send you a bill prior to charging your monthly fee, unless you print additional pages. When you print additional pages during your billing cycle, we will send you an email at the end of your billing cycle, listing your monthly fee and the charges for any additional sets of pages you printed. Remember to keep your printer connected to the Internet, so you can get notifications about your HP Instant Ink account.

You can also find your complete billing history by signing in at hpinstantink.co.uk. To view your billing history, expand the Activity section, and then click on Billing.

Insert the HP Instant Ink cartridges when the cartridges that came with the printer run out of ink.

Yes. You may cancel your service or change plans at any time without penalty. To change your plan or cancel your service, sign in at hpinstantink.co.uk. Expand the My Plan section and click Edit, next to HP Instant Ink Plan.

If you do not use all your plan pages in a month, the unused pages will be kept in your account as rollover pages. Your rollover pages are available as long as you are enroled in HP Instant Ink. You can continue to roll over up to the number of pages in your monthly plan (for example, you can roll over up to 50 pages if you are enroled in a 50 page plan). If you have printed all of the pages in your plan, and you have used all of your rollover pages, you can still print additional pages and save.

Additional pages are available in sets depending on your plan, for only £1.00. As long as your printer is connected to the Internet, we will send you an email to remind you when you are near printing all of the pages in your plan. You can easily change your monthly plan whenever you want by signing in at hpinstantink.co.uk. Expand the My Plan section and click Edit, next to HP Instant Ink Plan. Since you can choose to make a plan upgrade effective immediately and retroactively apply to the current billing cycle, you can always upgrade your plan rather than purchasing additional pages.

You can find out how many pages you have printed, how many rollover pages are available, and how many additional pages you have purchased by signing in at hpinstantink.co.uk.
