Your unused pages are rolled over for you, up to your monthly plan amount. You can print more than your monthly page amount and still save. Additional sets of pages are automatically available and let you print beyond your monthly limit for pennies per page. For the £0 plan, only unused additional pages that were purchased roll over into the next month. Free pages do not roll over. You can also easily change your monthly plan whenever you want. You can choose to make a plan upgrade effective immediately and retroactively apply to the current billing cycle, or have the upgrade take effect the first day of the next billing cycle. Plan downgrade changes and cancellation are effective the first day of the next billing cycle. The £0 plan is an introductory offer and only available as a plan choice at enrolment.​​ For more details, see the HP Instant Ink Terms of Service.

For example, for the free trial offered at printer setup, your service will begin immediately and the cartridges will start to work like HP Instant Ink cartridges right away, allowing you to keep track of your page counts after you enrol.

If you sign up now, we will send you a welcome kit with your HP Instant Ink cartridges in about 10 business days, so you’ll have HP Instant Ink cartridges on hand when you need them. Your billing cycle does not start when you sign up, it starts when you insert your first HP Instant Ink cartridge.

Your credit card is charged approximately 30 days after you insert your first HP Instant Ink cartridge in your enrolled printer. You are billed at the end of your billing cycle for the previous 30 days of service. You will be billed for your monthly paid plan fee, plus any additional pages you printed during your billing cycle. For the £0 plan, you will only incur charges if you print more than 15 pages in a month - additional sets of pages can be purchased as needed for £1 per 10 pages.

Since your monthly plan fee is the same every month, we will not send you a bill prior to charging your monthly fee, unless you print additional pages. When you print additional pages during your billing cycle, we will send you an email at the end of your billing cycle, listing your monthly fee and the charges for any additional sets of pages you printed. Remember to keep your printer connected to the Internet, so you can get notifications about your HP Instant Ink account.

NOTE: If you are eligible for promotions, trials, and/or offers, billing and charges are based on the rules of the promotion that you have applied. For example, for the free trial offered at printer setup, your service will begin immediately and the cartridges will start to work like HP Instant Ink cartridges right away, allowing you to keep track of your page counts after you enrol.  If you signed up using a prepaid card, any monthly charges will be deducted from your prepaid balance rather than a credit card on file, as long as there is sufficient balance.  

HP will send replacement cartridges before you run out of ink. When your enrolled printer is connected to the Internet, HP will know when to send ink before you run low. Cartridges are sent using standard shipping, so they might take up to 10 days to arrive, however, HP will take shipping time and regular ink usage into account when it ships your replacement cartridges.

You will likely not receive cartridges every month, but you will always have ink when you need it.²

Yes, you can print full colour photos, colour documents, or high-quality black and white pages. Each page costs the same. Your monthly fee is based on the number of pages you print, not on the amount of ink you use. You never have to worry again about printing in black and white to avoid using your colour ink cartridges.

If you do not use all your plan pages in a month, the unused pages will be kept in your account as rollover pages. Your rollover pages are available as long as you are enrolled in HP Instant Ink. You can continue to roll over up to the number of pages in your monthly plan (for example, you can roll over up to 50 pages if you are enrolled in a 50 page plan). If you have printed all of the pages in your plan, and you have used all of your rollover pages, you can still print additional pages and save.

Additional pages are available in sets depending on your plan, for only £1.00, so you are still paying about the same price per page as your monthly plan. As long as your printer is connected to the Internet, we will send you an email to remind you when you are near printing all of the pages in your plan. You can easily change your monthly plan whenever you want. To change your plan, sign in to your account page at hpinstantink.com. Under My Account on the Home Screen, click Change Plan. Since you can choose to make a plan upgrade effective immediately and retroactively apply to the current billing cycle, you can always upgrade your plan rather than purchasing additional pages.

HP Instant Ink is currently available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. We’re planning on expanding, so keep checking back for updates on when HP Instant Ink will be available in other countries.

No. You do not need a pin code to sign up for HP Instant Ink. If you did purchase a prepaid card at a retail store, be sure to enter the code when prompted during sign up. Otherwise you can simply select your desired plan and continue with your enrolment.

There are some regions or locations in the UK that are not eligible for the HP Instant Ink program, these include: The Channel Islands (Jersey and Guensey), Alderney, Sark, Herm and Gibraltar.
